Borrowing things from this site

We realize that there are many things on this site that you have never seen before. If you want to download them for use on your computer or as wallpaper or printouts, we don't care. Knock yourself out; that's what they're there for.

If you want to borrow scans from the discography, you know as well as we do that this is the first time these singles have appeared on the web, so we would like you to credit us if you feel the need to borrow them for some reason (instead of referring people back to this site).

However, the rest of the content on this page, including the history, live synopses, discography, sound files and video captures, is unique to this page and should appear here only. Many, many people have worked really hard to make this stuff available and it's not fair to just take it and pass it off as your own.

You absolutely may NOT take any of the inline images or other artwork. We spent a very long time working on them, and none of them are just straight scans.

The reason these pages exist

We (Caryn and Seth) were trying to find an excuse to work together properly, since we work together on an ad hoc basis often. Soundgarden + Pearl Jam = Temple Of The Dog. It was only going to be a song of the month, and then things got out of hand. Seth was just tinkering with some intentionally garish designs, and Caryn made the mistake of saying, "I've always wanted to write about Temple..." Five Horizons was tired of answering mail about Temple. Seth wanted to move his Temple section off of the Soundgarden website since it didn't do the project justice. At least one of us is just an overachiever who can't do anything halfway.

Contributing to this site

If you have any singles we don't have (we know there was a 12" of "Reach Down," for example), have any live photos of Temple Of The Dog, or if you actually attended any of the Temple Of The Dog shows, we'd love to hear from you. However, various .wavs of Pearl Jam singing "Hunger Strike" aren't needed; we've got more than we can handle.
